LODD Details

On Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, Firefighter Marques Hudson responded to a residential fire. While fighting the fire, he became trapped and a mayday was called. City officials say Hudson was inside the burning home when he either fell through the floor or fell down the stairs. Firefighter Hudson was immediately rescued, and CPR was performed. He was then transported to the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the accident. Four other firefighters were also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Hudson is survived by his three children. Through the generosity of our donors, we had the honor of hand-delivering vital resources to help ease their financial hardship while mourning.
